Tendus

Ms. Kaylin demonstrates how to perform a tendu

Tendu Technique

- contributed by Kaylin W.

Hi. My name is Kaylin Wilson. Welcome to LAAPA for this Lagniappe lesson. Today we're going to do tendus. The main focus of your tendu is to present your heel. That's right. Not your foot, but your heel. Whenever you tendu, you want to make sure the first part that goes out is your heel. Then out from under your heel, you want to articulate your whole foot and on the way back, pull your toes back, back, back, back to promote even more turnout. Let me turn to the side and show you. Heel, heel, heel, heel, heel, articulate the foot. Toes back, back, back, back, back, back, back to promote even more turnout. That's our lesson for the day. Thank you so much and we'll see you soon.
