At LAAPA, we strongly believe in our mission to share the joy of music and dance with our local community. In that light, we have implemented a Community Class series which are completely free classes that meet in a group setting throughout the year. Each scheduled class strives to help students discover their talent.
A list of all upcoming Academy events are posted on our Facebook Events Page. Community class events will be indicated as such! To reserve your spot in an upcoming class or express interest in a future class, please click this link - all classes are on a first come, first served basis!
In addition to our community classes and free performances by our student groups throughout the St. Tammany and Greater New Orleans communities, LAAPA supports several charities. Follow the links below to read more about these charities and to find out how you can help.
Mary's Meals is a global movement supported by people from many walks of life and different backgrounds. Their mission is to enable people to offer their money, goods, skills, time, or prayer, and through this involvement, provide the most effective help to those suffering the effects of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest communities.
Each year our families here at LAAPA come together during our Christmas performances to support these local organizations with donations of toys, clothing, basic needs items, and more.

Please note that during holiday breaks, the office will be open between 9 AM and 5 PM. It is always best to call the office before dropping by the Academy in person during holiday breaks.
