Ensembles
Choir: (ages 9-adult) is composed of vocal students chosen by their instructors to meet for 45 minutes each week. Our student choirs regularly perform at our Christmas, Honors, and Spring Concerts each year in addition to other local community events.
Jazz Band: (ages 10-adult) is composed of mid-intermediate through advanced instrumental students recommended by their private instructors to meet for one hour each week. There are three levels, and the level I training band is perfect for those who are younger and have less musical experience. Students perform a variety of challenging but fun music and are exposed to the terminology and techniques of the jazz language. Students are encouraged to bring in their own original pieces to try out in class! The jazz bands perform regularly for various occasions.
Rock/Pop Band: (ages 10-adult) is composed of mid-intermediate through advanced guitar, bass, drum, piano, vocal, brass, and woodwind students recommended by their private instructors to meet for one hour each week. Students enjoy learning and jamming to age appropriate selections of contemporary and popular music. The groups perform at all of our regular concerts.
String Ensemble: (ages 9-adult) is composed of intermediate through advanced violin, viola, cello, and double bass students recommended by their private instructors to meet for one hour each week. Repertoire is largely determined by the interest of the members in each group. The string ensembles, as all of our groups, regularly perform at our concerts and other local community events time permits.
